Chapter 7

Maryland Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Attorney

Filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy will end the harassing phone calls from creditors and collection agents. When you file bankruptcy the court imposes an automatic stay on all collection activity by your creditors. This means that creditors, by law, must stop harassing you.

Filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy is an effective way to end the burden and stress caused by overwhelming debt from credit cards, medical bills, repossessions, personal loans, mortgage payments, and other qualifying debt. Most debts are discharged in Chapter 7, which will give you a renewed chance at financial success in the future.

Filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy will stop wage garnishments, tax levies, and attachment of bank accounts by creditors.

With help from the Law Office of Ann M. Gaegler, countless clients have found relief from the crushing pressure of debt. I make it my mission to assist each and every client with the complex Chapter 7 filing process.

Why Chapter 7?

Chapter 7 puts an end to the harassing phone calls from creditors and allows for the discharge of most debts, often allowing you to retain specific assets such as your home and care. The process offers a fresh financial start and a clean slate to allow you to rebuild your credit.

Why do I need a lawyer?

Chapter 7 filings can be complex issues. Each client's situation is unique. I provide an in-depth analysis of each person's individual financial circumstances. I work directly with the each client to determine if bankruptcy is the appropriate course of action. As a sole practitioner, I work personally with you during the entire bankruptcy process. When necessary, I can work with you to file the paperwork as quickIy as possible. Once the bankruptcy has been filed, an automatic stay goes into effect, making it a violation of Federal Law for creditors to contact you regarding your outstanding debt. The faster the paperwork is completed, the faster you can get on with your life and rebuilding your finances.

What can I expect?

Once you have contacted my office, I will set up a free consultation with you. At the initial meeting, you will need to bring six months of pay stubs, two years of tax returns with W2s, your bills, and your credit reports from all three credit reporting agencies (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax). At the meeting, I give you a form to complete so that I can prepare your bankruptcy filing. Prior to filing bankruptcy, you will need to complete credit counseling through one of the agencies approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Completing the paper work can be a complex process, but my personal attention to your case is designed to offer understanding of each step.

My practice is geared toward providing solutions to your financial problems. You have worked hard to get where you are. Don't let a few financial mistakes ruin your life. We can find relief for your situation together.

Contact my office to schedule your complimentary 30 minute consultation today. My office offers reasonable rates, free parking and is conveniently located near a Metro station.
